I love to paint this New Mexico Valley.
In the fall (especially if we had lots of rain) it is just breath taking. It's blazes with gold.
There is an Iris farm there.
This valley is where Peter Hurd, his wife Henriette Wyeth, lived. Their son Michael still lives there.
Its like stepping back into time. A good feeling.
Right up the mountain from there is the town of Ruidoso, New Mexico.
The other side of the valley is where I was born and raised,.....Roswell !!
Yes the place where the UFO's are. If you can get through that, go see the Roswell Museum. It is a wonderful place. It has Peter Hurd, and an Georgia O'keefe and many other beautiful paintings. All from this world.
And the Goddard Museum is there.
Roswell is a nice place to go and be from.
